Hi all,
I'm in the middle of putting my '94 mtx back together after a clutch/trans job, and I have a question aboit installing the ball joints. I got Josh's clutch video/instructions and it says not to let the ball joint go too far into the pinch knuckle. How far is too? should the stem part of the ball joint stick out above the pinch knuckle at all, or should it be flush with the top of the knuckle? Thanks for the help, this is my first time messing with this.

It will have to go in far enough for the notch to align with the bolt hole. If you go too far it will pass the hole. Its not hard to pry back out a little if needed. I usually just let them go as far as they want in then pry back if required.

The pinch bolt will only go through at the correct insertion depth. It's pretty much impossible to insert the BJ too far or not far enough. The pinch bolt pretty much ensures that won't happen.
