Having Wiseco make me a set of pistons. Using the original crank and KOB rods. Should i balance the rotating assembly with these new pistons or just grab a gram scale and make sure each piston/rod assembly comes within a couple grams?

are people swapping pistons in sho motors with balancing?

I just did some research and I think this is something i can do myself with a gram scale. Minus the crank. So now my question is how well are the cranks balanced from the factory? I can weigh each rod and piston myself and take off material as needed.

You would be foolish not to get the rotating assembly balanced.

After everything I am without a doubt going to get it balanced. Only reason I asked was because I had seen people swap pistons in other applications without a balance.

Should I balance it 50/50 or can there be any benifit of balancing it differently? Also rods?
Should I mess with the rods at all? I have heard of people re sizing them or should I just leave them alone.
