badges???

another question about badges, the ford ones....how do i remove them from my car without breakin them...and is there anyway to get the little clear plastic cover off of the ford part....i have an idea of what i want to do to them to make them decent looking, i just have to get them off

do you mean the whole oval? as in the "holder"? you can just pry that off, screwdriver, or fishtape. The Ford in the center is just a big sticker, no you can not seperate that and re-color it.. that whole blue ford oval is one piece and the chrome holder is another.

You can try heating the badge to separate the ford part from the chrome oval holder, but it's no gaurantee. Some come out without breaking and others do not. You have to use a miniture screwdriver and wedge it between the chrome holder and the ford logo part and slowly pry up. Put some electrical tape on the chrome holder so you don't mess it up.

The Plastic part with the Ford logo is one solid piece injection molded. Some people have had luck slowly sanding the blue away and then repainting the back of the badge to change the color.
