My SHO recently had the wheel bearings replaced and that temporarily fixed the shaking in my car and was fine up until about 2 months ago when it started to vibrate again.
This time only at 50-55, and only if my wheel is slightly turned to the right.
Braking doesn't help. It stops right away when I go below 50 or above 55.

I'm hoping it is a tire balance problem (really hoping...I don't have the money for a halfshaft).

What could it be?

It could be a bunch of things.

Start by rotating your tires to see if that changes it at all.

When the car is up in the air, test the front wheels for play.

My money is on a wheel bearing that wasn't installed properly.

I just checked the wheels on a jack, no play at all. I remember how it was when the wheel bearings first went bad, so it isn't that this time.

I'm going to try balancing my tires today and see if that fixes it.

Also, check your transmission mount. If it's torn, the engine can oscillate and cause a harmonic which feels like an out of round tire.
