Bad struts

I need some new struts bad, I don't have much money and I still live at home, would it be ok to get some from the junkyard? thanks guys

Pardon me for being the one to say this, but in your sig you have a beautiful supercharged SHO and you're looking to pull shocks from a junk yard?

Am I the only one that is thinking this is

If I were to add anything constructive to this, I would say that I assume you could get shocks from a junk yard permitting they are in good condition.

However, any time I ever pulled knuckles from a Taurus in the junk yard, the chrome shock rods pretty much collapsed into the body of the shock just by gravity alone. I'm sure that would do wonders for handling...

Don't bother with junkyard ones... Just pony up the money for new ones. I got monroe quickstruts shipped to my door for $550. Those included springs and were a drop in replacement.

I can't really see paying that much for monroe's... and I can't see myself paying anything at all for stock springs

They are a bargain. Complete, and ready to install.

Struts, mounts, bellows and pads, mounts and bearings.

Remove the old, install the new.

Unless I come accross a smoking deal on a set of Konis, my boosted SHo will get the quickstruts.

Yeah they've got everything oyu need and I think the spring rate is right too IIRC...
