Will a bad IAC cause bad gas mileage.
I have a rough idle and sometimes a high idle like the valve is sticking. Also sometimes the idle will jump from 14-15 back and forth when I push the clutch in and when I completly stop, the idle will go up to about 1800 rpms. Any other ideas.

Those are very high idle speeds. The oscillating idle is usually the result of a dirty/bad IAC valve, but can also be complicated by a throttle position sensor with a dead spot or fluctuating signal at idle.

Have you reset the idle program after having the battery disconected?
