I know I have a bad fuel pump and I am getting it replaced in about a week but here is my question. Would a bad fuel pump cause problems with my secondaries? Sometimes they come on, but are a lot I mean a lot quieter than normal and sometimes are good to go, when they are quieter their is not as much pull, oviously. So I am thinking that my pump can't supply enough gas to give them full power, does that make sense? So, I hope my new fuel pump will cure this...thanx

If there is insufficient fuel available, the secondaries will not be able to have any significant effect.

Hopefully, you have already replaced the fuel filter to eliminate that as a possibility and you have measured fuel pressure at the rail to verify that you have a pressure problem.

It is possible to have sufficient pressure but the pump cannot supply an adequate volume of fuel at pressure.

My fuel pump went in my 89 and you will know it is the fuel pump by it stalling out. Check the schraider valve on the intake manifold to see if there is pressure. if there isn't it might be the fuel pump or one of the lines. If you car starts stalling out when at idle it is the fuel pump; if not check the lines. when my fuel pump went the only power i would get was when i kept the revs high. Your power loss at high revs makes me think it is something besides the fuel pump.
