Axle replacement????

well today i noticed that the cv boot on my pass. side axle is torn, so i figured i will go ahead and replace both axles.... well i have just a couple of question

1)are the SHO and normal taurus axles the same?

2)how hard is it, and how long does it take to replace the axles?
