Howdy all, my wife's 95ATX is throwing four codes, all of which point straight to the Transmission Oil Temperature Sensor (TOT). Where the heck is this sensor, and how expensive is it to replace? I've combed google and I, in true Spaceballs fashion, ain't found s***. Does this sensor require the removal of the tranny? If not, how hard is it to get to? I would dearly, dearly appreciate any help anybody could offer. Thank you! :hail:

Jason,

What are the EXACT codes? Post them in the exact order they are issued by the PCM.

The TOT (Transmission Oil Temperature) sensor is located on the valve body, inside the side pan. It can be addressed in-vehicle only with considerable difficulty. With the tranny out, it's far easier.

It might be that you have an external wire harness issue or PCM fault and the TOT sensor (and other codes) are all related to an external cause.

113, 636, 637, 539(oops). I think that's it, and that's not the EXACT order they were in, but I know 113 was first. 639 might have been one of them, I'll have to get back to you once my wife gets back from work (she has the codes written down at home).

I also was thinking possible wiring fault. There aren't any noticeable shifting issues, other than it's really soft, but the O/D light was blinking, which is why all this started in the first place. Thank you for the help!
