Hey... um... I kinda have bad news... I'm gonna have to pull out of the ATX run. The car that the wavetrac was going to go into kind of got totaled... if you want to keep my (massive $50) deposit, that's totally cool with me. I understand. Again, my apologies... :frown:

As per our website, the deposits are transferrable, so you can 'sell' your deposit to another ATX owner ..... :)

I will be putting a deopsit down soon :) I would take that off his hands, but I have an MTX

When are these going to ship? I know these have been a long time coming and I really want to get one of these in my car.

Ouch. When is the GB supposed to end?

From our website:

SHO NUT Website said:
The group buy started November 15th 2008

and

SHO NUT Website said:
If we fail to get 30 deposits within a year, then we will look at cancelling the ATX group buy. If the ATX group buy is cancelled, then these ATX deposits are refundable. Otherwise, if the ATX group buy goes ahead, they are non-refundable (but are transferable), as with the MTX units.

So we will review the number of deposits November 2009, and get a consensus from the people that placed deposits as to what they want to do at that time.

Well, we did some testing of one of the units. It works great, no nasty noises, does all the right things as it should, like turning into the corner under power. It also took exactly the same shim as the OEM diff it replaced (not promising that will always be the case, but it's a good sign!).

I'll agree with previous reviews that it's slightly more agressive than a Quaife, which is pretty neat.

In a hard take-off with the wheels turned under power (both tires spinning), you can just barely hear/feel the Wavetrac centre pack and pinions working - nothing intrusive, noisy or abrupt - just working as it should. The Quaife is quite noisy in this situation, and it's also obvious that the Quaife is going somewhat open in this scenario.

Here are a few pics ... It works in a straight line:

It works on split-mu surfaces (equal slip on both wheels):

And it even works taking off hard with the wheels turned, no nasty noises or steering inputs required, just steer where you want to go:

Needless to say we are excited, and can't wait to try one in the winter!

We will be taking full payments soon for imminent delivery (as well as continuing to take deposits for those that want to hold a unit).

Thanks!

We did a little test with one tire unloaded (in the air). There is traction on the other (loaded tire) when you give a stab at the throttle, so the Wavetrac centre section DOES work. Can't wait to try this on the road! (gotta figure out how though first ... without killing myself).

Our final tests are completed, and we have pronounced the MTX batch 'good to go'.

We have updated our site to accept full payment for imminent delivery (i.e. within a week or two), as well as the deposits as before.

Thanks!

What's the word on when these will go out for those who already paid in full?

We have released all units for shipment that have been paid in full. They should go out this week.

Thanks for your support everyone! :)

P.S. If you haven't placed a deposit, or purchased a unit, please do, as we need all the help we can get with this one!
