What kind of Autometer gauges does everyone have? I'm getting the 3 gauge pod from IPT, but I'm not sure if I want to run the mechanical or the electric oil pressure gauge. I'm not too keen about taking risks at drenching my interior in Castrol 10W-30.

Also, what size gauges fit in there? 2 1/16"? Anybody have part numbers? I need to have these in the next 7 days....TIA

i have autometer phantom gauges to match my white faced gauges in my dash. i have all electircal gauges, i didn;t want to bother with tubing. they are 2 1/16" gauges. if you go to www.summitracing.com and click the top left where it says catalog, you can get a look at them all and the prices. they are usually the cheapest and fastest place to get them.

I also bought mine from Summit. I got the oil pressure, water temp, and air/fuel mixture (although I would not recommend this guage).

I have the Autometer Autolites. I have a double pod A-pillar and have 3 more mounted underneath the radio in the dash of my '92. I have a set of silver NR gauge faces. The Autolites are silver, too.

This might seem like a dumb question, but will any out of the hundreds of matches they have up work? I didn't see one specifically for the SHO. I think I'm safely assuming that the sender unit threads are not the same in all cars

The triple A-pillar gauge pod that I have, requires 2-1/6" sized gauges. I got the AutoMeter Sport-Comp electric gauges, which are black face to match the stock dash gauge faces.

The sending units will come with different adaptors to fit your car.

I've got three gauges waiting to be installed. If anyone has a short how to that would be great. They are electrical oil pressure, volts, and a/f.
Thanks,
David

You can get the AutoMeter gauges directly from IPT...price is pretty good.

Why don't you recommend the A/F guage? what's wrong with it? I kinda wanted to get one when I get my 3 guage pod.

I don't know if his is the same reason as mine, but I've driven cars with that guage in it before, and at night it is *really* annoying

I don't think that they are overly important on our cars. Unless you have a supercharger or turbo. I use a digital one on the GN and its a MUST. The guage I have is very annoying and not very accurate with the led bar. Its a nice light show, but will bother you at night. If I did it over again, I would probably go with a tranny temperature guage.

LOL well trust me, lights will not bother me. I love lights. I've probably changed every light in my 91 SHO at least twice haha. The interior lighting on my 91 used to be quite impressive, but I took it all out when I thought I was gonna sell it.
