autocross in Greensboro

The track car's first day out on fresh tires. and i would say that it was quite a bit faster. going to take some getting used to the additional grip.

Competition was steep overall today. lots of fast drivers, but i did pretty well. results are here.

I co-drove Terry's car (My old car ) today. First time since I've sold it Needless to say, Terry handed me my ass. I forgot what a handful this car could be and was pretty timid driving it. Terry proved that he has a good handle on the car, that's for sure. That's a top 20 time if you don't count the damned carts! This is NOT an easy club to compete with. The level of some of the drivers here is nationals level.

I also Drove Ashley's Mazdaspeed 3 today. I am extremely proud to announce that my wife kicked my ass! I thought I had it in the bag when I pulled down a 36.6 Time in the Mazda, but a late cone call got me. Ashley put the nail in the coffin by finishing 4 tenths behind me, with a very clean 37.0 run. Since she had no penalties, she was the winner for the day! She has turned in to a **** of a driver, that's for sure!

Needless to say, I expected to Jump back in to these two cars today after not auto-crossing for 6 months and be as fast as I was when I stopped in Feb. Boy was I wrong! Couldn't be more proud to see my old car kick some ass with its new owner! I'm even MORE proud to get my ass handed to me by my wife!

That used to be my car a few years ago. It's really great to know it is still going strong. This is the first time I've been back to shoforumn a long while. Good to see its still active with all you diehard SHO fanatics.
