My auto lamp feature isn't so much auto anymore. If i bypass the auto switch and turn it off the lights go off during daytime. Otherwise at anysetting of the autolamp slide(on) the lights stay on during days. Nothing is blocking the sensor. Is the sensor hard to replace....and how much if anyone has done this??? Also my door ajar light comes on all the time and all the switches are working appropriately....has anyone had this problem as well???? Please help....thanks

For your autolamp problem the sensor is located in the upper righthand dash area and is secured to a REMOVABLE panel. Get one from a yard for cheap. As far as the door ajar light, one of your switches IS defective. The dome lights and the door ajar are on two separate circuits (Thanks Ford). Most likely it is the RR door as often times it is the least used. Some liquid graphite sprayed into the lock/latch and moderate opening/slamming of the door should do the trick.
