auto lamp problem

my auto lamp on my 89 stopped working yesterday. any ideas what it is and what should be changed?

did it stop working completely? ie. is the light on the switch off, too? during my dash swap, i didn't put one of the grounds back and it killed the autolamp entirely...no light, no lights, nothing. re-grounded it and it works again.

that COULD be what's going on.

it stopped working completely, it was night time and i noticed that the lights didn't come on, i tried playing with it a little bit, nothing

it could very well be a bad ground. should be easy enough to find by tracing the wires back from the autolamp module. iirc, it should be attached behind the knee panel on the dash support brace somewhere.

i know, that doesn't help much. =)

Do the headlamps come on with the manual switch?
