So, my tranny is about 6k old...it never did shift quite right...

The problems that have arisen are these....when the car is running alright, it shifts very nice....firm, accurate, and at the right time. As soon as one thing is off, it all goes the ****. For instance, the 1-2 tends to excessively soft under WOT at times, where as the 2-3 is brutally rough. 3-4 is nice, although a bit delayed. When it is shifting rough, it is always shifting at the wrong times...

Now, it could probably use a TPS and a full on 60k (misfires pretty good), but all the elctonics inside the tranny are brand new. Could it be the TPS? PCM? Or could my valvebody be absolutely trashed? The shop says there is no way the valvebody is no good, as they replaced all the valves and rebuilt the entire thing with a Trans Go kit. And, the fluid is still cherry red and isn't burnt...

Any thoughts, comments, opinions or advice?

Thanks

I have a tranny with a little bit less milage then yours in my 93 ATX. I have the same exact thing. My 1-2 was soft below 3,000rpm firmer and faster about 3,000rpm, the 2-3 shifted hard like a shift kit, and the 3-4 seems delayed at times kinda like its thinking. What I did was purchase the TED B LPM. This made the shifts faster all over and the 3-4 now doesnt think it shifts. It still is a bit soft below 3,000 rpm and occasionally the 1-2 at 3,500rpm kinda stumbles. I have a feeling that it is just nature of the trannys. Maybe the tranny tempature at times can affect it. I might look into the VSS. But I def recommend the Ted B LPM. Best $200 youll spend for your ATX.
