Back in Michigan ... again.
Pretty much what the title says. I have a good ATX shaft that I want to swap into the 89. Haven't yanked the axle from the 89 yet to compare, just wondering if anyone else has done this before?

TIA :)

Yeah, I cannot possibly fathom them working with the other. everything is different... transmission length, placement (both fore/aft and left/right) of the engine, etc. etc... sorry. :frown:

Good timing to ask this question Hunter, as I'm gonna do some hijacking if ya don't mind. :naughty: I'm in the middle of doing an axle shaft replacement on a '90 SHO and it appears Napa f'ed me and gave me the wrong one. Too short, like almost a 1/2" too short. Doesn't even resemble the damn pic or the one in the car. Autozone doesn't show a pic of theirs at all and Advance doesn't even list one. WTF?! And once this is done, I gotta fight with the inner/outer tie rods on the same side. How lucky can I get? Have any of y'all ran into this before??

If it's to long, just cut it and JB weld it back together, you guys are so picky, they don't check that stuff when judging at shows or anything.

We (SHO Source) do sell brand new ones, not remans... No fitting issues either.

Yeah, I already tried the sawzall to make it fit, but the duct tape wouldn't hold past 40 :laugh_ti

Thought I'd ask before springing for a reman, since I have a good ATX shaft sitting about 15 away :) Thanks all!
