GARYH, AND ATXSHO,
Louis is 100% correct. Trans fluid dripping from the front of the trans, between the trans and the engine, is either an input shaft seal or a torque converter leak.
There is a "dust cover" at the bottom of the trans (between the engine and the trans at the bottom). Remove this cover and determine if the fluid is flowing from behind the torque converter, or is flowing from all around the trans.
A torque converter leak will be thrown by centrifical force all around the inside of the bell housing. An input shaft seal leak flows from the seal down the center of the bell housing.
There are a couple of other leak location possibilities, such as a pump perimeter seal, or a pump bolt leak, but the first two are the most likely.
Either way the "fix" is to remove the trans and torque converter. I would try Lucas trans additives, but I would NOT use Barrs.
You may also want to stop at a respected trans shop, NOT AAMCO, and see if they recommend some sort of leak sealer addative. This will only put off the inevitable need to pull the trans and fix it right. rangerj
