I wanted to know what transmission fluid you guys use. Hint, Hint SeanMc and Somedude001! I hear Redline trans fluid is good? any true to this?

i one of my transmission I ran amsoil in one and in another I ran mercon 5.

from what I read amsoil and redline, is essentially type F fluid type. basically this means it is a higher friction fluid than say your mercon/dertron or mercon 5 fluid... this is good because your clutches will bite harder when shifting and will be less likely to break down due to extreme heat. That said run the redline or amsoil. The higher friction fluid will shorten the life of your clutches in theory but that is negated by the fact your clutches slip less during a shift event.

run good fluid, check it often, and get a temp gauge!!!

If you want I can ship you the fluid that came out of my transmission. It has extra...errrr friction adders in it The fluid only has about 250 miles on it too!

I use mobile 1 and mine has about 245k on it and the tranny still shifts smooth. I bought the car with 112k about 4 years ago and I changed the filter and flushed it at 150k with Mobil 1.

I ran mobile1 in mine till it bit the dust, but that was mechanical on my part. I would imagine the RedLine and AmsOil and RoyalPurple would be great alternatives.
