I'm about to make the mod of bypassing the normal radiador cooling lines for the automatic transmission and have only run them through the ATX cooling radiator.
Speaking with a friend, who's a tech/mechanic, he got me into thinking if there's any risk of actually overheating the transmission by doing this mod and loosing the cooling from the normal radiator and only leaving the ATX cooling radiator with the task of cooling all the oil.
Do you guys think this could happen? Is the ATX cooling radiator enough to cool all the trans oil?
I live in a city where mostly the traffic is stop and go and summer temps are 90+ degrees daily, don't want to burn up the insides of the ATX.
I'll appreciate any opinion about this just to know if it's a good idea of doing this mod in a city with this kind of driving.
