I was goin through some inventory for my brake upgrade using your list and also did a dry run on the actual work. My concern is, my '93 ATX front caliper locating pin does not fit on the '95 Continental bracket that I will be using. I take it u used the '95 Continental locating pins as well or the '94 Sable locating pin? My '94 Sable knuckle set came in two separate pieces, the knuckle and the caliper with the brakcet without the locating pins. I will have to get the proper pins, what's ur word on this?

Correct. You can't use the 93 slider pins. I re-used the bolts from the 94 Sable. That's why it's preferred to get the knuckles from the bone yard fully assembled, you need the bracket to knuckle bolts and the caliper to bracket bolts. I suppose you can get them from Ford.

Good Luck!

here'a thought.

i was thinking about my brake upgrade at work trying to picture how to do the actual work. i was just thinking, when i remove the hub retainer nut, would it make sense if i did that BEFORE raising the tires? leaving the tires on the ground and just removing the cap cover would give me plenty of leverage compared to having the tires raised? if the tires were raised, would the shaft move freely if i try to remove the hub retainer nut? what was your experience? i have read your tips on the forum on the procedure and what tools are needed, i was thinking of purchasing ball joint tool set 'cause i will need to use them in the future, would that be enough caompared to the 3' pry bar?
