I just picked up a set of Energy Suspension rear endlinks, and the longest endlink they make is about an inch shorter than the stock endlink. I know some of you have Energy Suspension rear endlinks. Is there anything wrong with going with the shorter endlink? Will it work?
Thanks.

The shorter endlinks will change the geometry and behavior of the rear suspension, but it's hard to say whether it will improve it or make it worse. You'll really only know if you try it. Are you running a stock rear sway bar? I think Kirk was running shorter links with the 26mm bar in his with the lowering.

EDIT: Ok, just read your sig. I think with the 26mm bar it will probably make the rear a little flatter, which will probably feel pretty good.

Thanks for the quick response, Chris!
I guess I will try it out, see how I like it. I am also hacking the strut tab on the rear struts to get the rear a tad lower, as the springs did not lower it as much as I would like. Fun night of suspension work ahead!
Thanks again. :)

Roman ,
I got my rear endlinks from SHONut - and while they were the correct length (5" between the bushings ) the bolt itself was a 1/2" too short to grab the bar . I replaced the bolt with a John Deere part ! threaded 1 1/2" longer . Eventually trimmed the spacer 1/2" and actually like the results . The bar ends are level .

Looks Great ! I've been a wee bit slow on getting this summers "projects" going , Now I am downright jealous :dribble: . Just might be the kick needed to finish them up . ( stay with a 16" or 17" , otherwise you just go slower , definitely black with a polished lip :thumb: )

I don't plan on going 18". I will either keep the stockers and do something interesting with them, or I may go with 17s at some point. It would look hot with 18s, but I don't think 18s are very practical.

I've been really looking into testing my painting skills ( powder coating would be a best choice - but not a DIY project ) . I helped a friend do a "polished lip look" wheel - masking off the lip and painting the rest in a metallic bronze . Very eye catching ! Results on an older wheel with those peel scuffs from the weights may not look so good . Lotsa elbow grease needed .

I do have a set of slicers and a damaged 99 wheel to practice on. Think I will give it a try. Gloss black with a polished lip. Yummy. :dribble:
