Matt,

Two things come to mind: 1. What altitude are you racing at? If you're up in the stratosphere, then your times will be much higher. 2. You may be having a problem with your IMRC. Sometimes the pulley for the cable that opens the secondary intake runners fails, leaving your car gasping for air... and not getting it. Info for this problem is on v8sho.com.

Best bang for the buck for a go fast part would be to get a Zex nitrous setup wink 245 at the wheels baby!

ok sorry for not writing back so soon. I had a wedding in Indiana and I was out for a while. I raced it once at Milan Raceway. I had my IMRC box replaced already. About a month ago and I am HOPING that its not bad again. Its not throwing any codes so it should not be that...right? I also had a open cone filter on there and a full tank of gas......could that be a big factor in the time issue? I put the stock air box back on it and have not been able to get back out there and run it since. So.....we shall see sometime!!!!!

what's the altitude at Milan? I'm guessing your car has low mileage, and even if you added a tenth to the 15.1 I cut with Karen's car that's only 15.2 I weigh 130, maybe less. Kirk can tell you that I make Mark look heavier. Something has to be wrong. The Gen III should run equal, if not better to any Gen II ATX (besides kaotic's wink ) and their times are mostly mid to slightly higher 15's. How do you launch also? Finally, what are you running for MPH? If it's mid 80's there's definitely a problem. You should be running 88 or better.

I am not sure what the altitude is but its in South East Michigan. I did talk to some other people that race every weekend and they say that with me having a full tank of gas and a open cone filter on my intake will make that much of a difference. So, I am going to give it another shot on July 10th. I figured that with a half a tank or less it will knock off about 80-100 pounds and with the factory air box it will actually suck in cooler air. Other then that thts about all I can figure out whats wrong.
