Hey Kirk I was told that you are DA man for Gen III mods. Can ya help me out? I want to make mine go faster but I also dont have a ton of money to spend. Is this possible????

Call ASP, (link on V8SHO.com) and order there Crank UDP, Or, you can try an order the UDP set from SHO Shop. After that, about all you got left is N2O.

I wouldn't recommend going that route. I don't think that anybody has been sucessful installing those. If there is I'd like to hear from them. I'm stilllllll waiting for my replacement pulley from the SLO Slop.

I would like to be able to run at least low 15's in the quarter. I am running low 16's. I dont know if something is wrong with my car or what. I just want to go faster...not to the point to where I go mach 1...even though that would not be so bad!!!!!! I also beat a SVT the other day...not by much but I won though!!!

I ran at Milan Dragway twice. The first run I did a 16.4 and the second did a 16.1 I thought I was seeing things but I got the slips to prove it. I dont know what was wrong. At that time I was running the open cone filter and I had a full tank of gas too. I didnt think that would give me that bad of a time though. So, hopefully the next time I will do better. I know that the 99's are faster then the 98's.

99 faster than the 98, that is not an entirely true statement.
My best run here in the heartland was 15.4 @ 89 mph. That was done at dust with over 3/4 of tank of fuel on. Temp was around 55-60 degrees.
Just keep drag racing in the current configuration and try to launch differently. I was really slow with this car when I first went to the track. I have gotten quicker everytime I have gone.
Mods:
Mufflers (Summit Welded)
Resonator removed
Porterized Intake
T/B bypass (reduce intake heat)
Fan switch to help cool the car on those really hot days.

i don't see anything on your car that will make you go any faster than mine. I can also turn 15.1's in the quarter, without the P/S UDP.

I am HOPING to get the times down!!! I am going to the track here in the next couple weeks so I will try different things. The time slips were fine on everything but the time itself for the 1/4 didnt seem right.

Brent, as I've heard from Ron and Ryan. You're a good 100 lbs. less than Ron or Ryan. That is a very good reason you can run 15.1 in a quarter mile.
I am only 15 lbs. less than Ryan and I ran 15.17 at Lapeer. So weather conditions really does matter besides the weight. Especially if the engine is cool!
So who's up for it? Lapeer on June 29th? Race prep for the convention?
BTW, when does Milan Dragway doing it's test n' tune?

I have not run mine yet in the quarter but I think I will when it gets cold outside. Now bear in mind I am 6'5" and weigh close to 240....how much do you guys weigh and what kind of factor is that? (Actually I am 6"3 and about 250....I got carried away there for a moment.)

Well all things being equal, on a typical street car 100 lbs is 1 tenth/1 mph. Good rule of thumb anyway. So a 150 lb fella could probably cut a tenth off...
