ASFB question

the rear of the subframe is sitting fine and snug just had to clean up some rust and a few taps of a hammer and it went togeather fine but the front of the subframe has 4 small oval dohikies sticking out and the subframe bushings don't interlock as much as I'de like to see should I grind out the oval things which would be tough to do given the location of them or should I leave them there and reassemble the subframe, the cups interlock about 1/8 inch in the front (the front are the ones in question) and significantly more than that in the rear.

sounds like your rubber bushings came apart.. you took the nuts off the top of the front bushings right? If you do and the tabs are still stuck in you'll have to grind them off. I did it on my subframe. In the rain

NO I DIDN'T I was working on the subframe upside down because I was tapping the alu bushings in and cleaning up the holes so after posting I started chiseling on the tabs and then it hit me it was one of those WTF moments where the person you are working with just wants to hit you with a hammer then we laughed (at me) and we put it in. sigh i'm a idiot sometimes
