After I did my front 60k I was wondering if the crank dampner is supposed to sit flush with the end of the crank? The crank sprocket is all the way back and the dampner is sandwiched on the sprocket. My car wont start and I was wondering if this is a problem.

no, it's not supposed to sit flush. There it a small differential to allow the crank bolt to press the pulley and sprocket flush against the face at the other end of the crank snout.

It should be so close to flush that you can't see much of an offset.

If you didn't get the timing gear fully seated, the vanes won't be engaging the air gap in the CPS.

Of course I gapped the sensor at .03:) .. The crank sprocket slid on nice and easy and sat all the way back against the block. Today when I went out to the car the battery was somehow dead. I charged it up for a minute then primed the fuel pump. The car started then misfired and staled after about 3 seconds. Does this sound like a bad coil pack?
