I wish I could tell you how long the dealers going to take, typically a 1 day job once you have either the parts or a new transaxle in hand. It just depends on how quickly they can get what they need and I guess at a dealer, how quickly it gets to be your turn. I work large rental fleet so we pretty much grab a car in line, order what we need and fix it when the parts come in without all the bs that goes on at a dealership. I snapped a few pics from our warranty parts today to show what happens and what gets replaced for the issue (clutch pack not pictured). You can see where the snap ring land breaks out in the one picture, the snap ring in this one is sitting in the center of the cover in the other picture. This one was pretty mild, sometimes the snap ring lodges in moving parts and really makes a mess of things.

So...... I wonder if this was an issue on 2014? Very weird coincidence I'm reading this thread! Just the last couple days my car seems to take too long to shift from 1-2, feels like it's slipping then it hooks up!....??

It could be something else on yours, seems only an issue on the 15's from Nov 15 -Fec 16 from what I am aware of. Machining issue, maybe part made in China

Sometimes at a later date they expand date/vin ranges depending on repairs tracking. I don't recall an issue like this until the 2016's. One thing to point at a failure "like" this is No Reverse/3rd/5th Gear. Those are the gears the parts are applied in.

From what I see on the print out, they did it by the numbers and went a little further by checking and replacing the torque converter and sensor. You've got plenty of warranty left so take it easy on the girl for just a bit then drive it like you stole it when it warms up. I've never read anything to really call out the root cause but if I had to guess most break out when shifting into reverse (reverse circuit pressure is generally the highest). Enjoy having your ride back, mines been in self imposed exile due to summer tires so I've been back in the beasty SUV until temps come back up a bit.
