Are the vents under the seats supposed to work?

Hey SHOsters,
I have a 92 MTX, and the entire time I have owned it, the vents under the driver and passeger seats have never worked at all. I was wondering if there is a way to fix that as I recently heard that they are supposed to come on with the FLOOR setting on the EATC. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

In all the cars I've chopped up, I seem to recall that '92s for some odd reason have "fake" floor vents. IOW, they are there to take up the space so the carpet fits properly, but don't actually have functionality.

Maybe they dropped the option in later models?

I do know that the ones in my '89 work pretty good. Still, not a lot of air-flow when on full bore.

No, I think it was just one of those odd '92 things. :nut: '94+ have working ducts.

Well that sucks!! They are listed as an option on my original window sticker though. Would any of you know what's involved in changing parts to get them to work? I would guess the whole heater box, but I don't know much about the system.
