Are my buttons just worn out?

So today I tried to fix this problem I have been having with my rear window control from the driver's side door. I took off the cover to the master controls and sprayed the copper pieces with electrical contact cleaner.

Thinking this solved the problem I put the cover back on. Nope. I can get the rear windows to go down but they won't go back up. I take the cover back off...and try to manually raise the window by pressing the proper contacts down with a non metal object. It worked for both rear windows.

So does this mean I need to replace the whole switch assembly because of these two buttons that just don't seem to press down the contacts far enough anymore?

Yes I would guess that is it. You may try gently bending the up contacts on the switch(s).

Try taking an emery board or some emery paper and clean both contacts. This cleans the contacts much better than contact cleaner and it might fix your problem.
