I know the KYB's do not hold up with the aftermarket lowering springs but how well do they hold up if used as a stock replacement with the stock springs?

Any thoughts as I have no desire to lower the car but do need new struts/shocks.

Also with 92K on the car what would be the "best bang for the buck" for stock suspension replacements? (I am limited on funds so I can not do everything)

I was thinking Strut mounts, SFB's, Sway bar bushings, tie rod ends. Anything else?

Thanks,
Kevin

From what I understand the KYB GR2's are basically a little better than stock(motorcraft/gabriel) struts. They are a little more performance oriented(Smooth ride but with slightly better than stock damping/rebound capabilities). This is just what I have heard and seen, although if you replace 92k struts with new ones you should feel like you have a sports car again! :D The KYB's are basically a little better than stock, hold up slightly longer, and are a better price! All around it's a good idea!!! If you are limited on funds then go with these... If you ever plan on putting Tokicos on then I'd just wait and save more money(There's no sense in doing the job twice). If you plan on it but not in the near future, then go with the KYB's now and upgrade later...

Good luck! I hope this answered all your questions! thumb
