Are cam seals all the same size?

I'm planning on replacing the cam seals on my 89 with a 3.0 and read from previous posts that National seals are better than FelPro.

Rock auto sells FelPro as a 3 seal kit but the National seals are sold individually so I would need to place an order for 3 cam seals.

Can someone confirm if all cam seals for the 3.0 are the same size (2 seals for cams and 1 for the sensor). Thanks!

All three seals are the same size. I have not tried the Fel pro ones, but tried the National one time. It didn't work for me, probably since I didn't use RTV.

yes, all three are the same, and I had better luck with the National seals as well. Be sure to use rtv on the outside, and the best way to do it is to remove the valve covers and remove the end cam bearing cap so you can just slip the seal into the right place. Way more reliable than pounding them into position, and I've done both several times...

The National cam seals have a metal outer ring that is painted over, hence the need for RTV

You need to use RTV on the rearmost seal regardless of whether its a rubber coated seal or the metal National type because it will leak past the outer diameter of the seal at the bearing cap seam.
