Not really sure what to title this as, as it is more of a heads-up from my own experiences. Anyway, while re-assembling my '90, I noticed several odd things, such as screw holes not lining up for trim pieces, trim pieces being slightly different, and, perhaps the strangest of all, wiring differences. So far I have found two instances of wiring problems (connector on fan is the same as the harness in the car
and the front center airbag sensor plug is incorrect).
Now, the interesting thing about all of this is my donor car was a '91. I really don't think there was anything altered on either car, as they both appeared original. The only thing I can think of as a possible reason is the '90 was very early production, while the '91 was a plus model assembled in July '91. Even still, the airbag system was the same from 1990 through 1992, correct? Even 2nd gens have the same airbag sensors, so I'm kind of confused about the differences.
Just wondering if anyone had some insight into these issues, as I've never heard of them until now
