anyhow, i have a problem with the gear shifter,,,, every now and then it becomes impossible to shift into 1,2 and reverse,,,,,,, i have no idea what causes this,, it comes and goes,,,, i was told to pull op on the clutch and everything else,,,, and sometimes it works,,,, but the problem always comes back,,,,,, Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?? and how can i fix it?? Ed,,, i remembering you mentioning something that sounded like this,,,,,,, can u explain what the problem is,, and how do i get rid of it????,,,,,, Thanks for any help.,,,,,,,,,

How many miles on your clutch and is it a ford clutch? If it doesn't have a newer throw out and you have a few thousand miles on it. I'd hazard a guess your "fingers" are worn and things are moving around. If you have a good clutch and bearing no clue unless something is out of wack in your rod linkage.
