anyone locally have a set of MTX timing covers?

need an entire new set. after fixing the tensioner and buttoning everything back up the car ran fine for like 3-4 days and then spit the timing belt and melted the covers.

anyone got a set they wouldn't mind parting with? i already used the spare set i had on my 3.0 spare engine.

not looking for anything perfect, scratched, dirty and as long as it's not structurally cracked i can live with it.

PM me if you got something. i want to pick it up on friday or saturday preferably so ppl within 40 mi of me need only apply.

I don't know the condition of Jesse's Spy Hunter, but you can have the timing covers off of it if you want. Make a 10.00 donation to the Forum and they're yours. Why do you think the timing belt walked? Did you remember the guide washer on the lower timing sprocket?

tom! how did you know! yeah, i found it laying in my tool box after repeated questioning to adam about A: whether it was in since he put the harmonic balancer on when it had to come back off to put the mid cover on first... damn it and B: whether or not we thought maybe I broke the dang tensioner again.

i'll come see you saturday with your 15mm socket. I'll never be going back to the metro center sears after this... i went to the one by my place down here and it was in and out.

you throw in a power streering cooler for another $10 and you got yourself a deal.

dont know if you got one up there, but mine needs replacement. i'll send pics.

the top cover of the spy hunter has a hole and a crack in it from when the battery was stolen out of it.... after the whole car was stolen and dumped
