I had a local exhaust shop put some stainless steel 'Flo-Pro' mufflers on mine and lets just say when I brought my car into the dealer for an oil change yesterday and the service tech started it up while I was standing behind it, it turned a few heads...including mine! They were around $150 installed I believe.

alright thanks....flo pros huh? to each their own but im not crazy about the dual tips on each side...reminds me of those grand ams!.....but the price is great....do they do just single tips out both sides? and what do i say when i wanna order them? from how far back? from the cats? Take out the cats and put in high flow ones? what size piping? all the specific pieces you needed i would like to know....maybe a list of exactly what i need.....thank you very much!

You could get Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. Just have the shop cut off your old mufflers and tips. Have them put the new mufflers on and weld the stock tips back on. Looks stock yet sounds amazingly better. :thumb:

The exhaust tips I have are aftermarket, a good exhaust shop should be willing to weld the factory tips back on or weld on a set of aftermarket tips. I'd drive my car to an exhaust shop and let them look at your car and pick out the muffler you need. As a tip, the offset/offset in/out mufflers generally fit well.

My 98 Black SHO has a 2 1/2 SS Magna-flow high flow cat/ with 2 1/2 SS mendral bent tubing back to the 2 1/2 inch 40 series SS mufflers with 9 inch SS single outlet Reactive tips. There is no sound like the sound that comes from my car. Turns heads everytime i go out LOL. Does anybody know where i can get that ROUSH lowering kit at. I want my SHO lowered really bad. I also just bought the X chip and will be tuning soon. Any info would be really helpful. Don

ebay if your lucky, the Roush springs are no longer being made and can only be acquired either second hand, or by signing your soul away to the tune of $300+ for the set.

OK, i'm willing to sign my soul away for any kind of lowering springs for my beloved SHO!!! I called Eibach and they said that the springs will noy work for my car. Then some people say they will work. Can i get a final clear cut answer to this problem.
Would anybody recomend cutting the OEM springs to lower my car? I have a friend who says he can do it for around 150.00. He is the owner of a tuner shop here in Pa. I would just like some input from real SHO owners before i give him the keys to the cutting torch, LOL. Thanks.....Don 98 Black SHO!

DO NOT CUT THE STOCK SPRINGS.

Eibachs WILL fit, no doubt about it. The thing is that the Eibach rear springs for the SLO Taurus aren't an upgrade from the SHO rear springs. SO your best bet is to buy the Eibachs, but only use the front springs and leave the rears stock.

You can also lower the car a bit just by dropping the struts lower in the knuckle.
