I'm pulling my engine to fix a blown HG and do an MTX swap at the same time. I took the old y-pipe out yesterday and I was wondering if there is much scrap value to our stock catalytic converters, or if I should just junk it.

They run about $75.00 to $100.00 each, but it is like the stock market, it is up and down. To get the best price, you have to take them to a recycler that specializes in the metals, every area has one. Most scrap yards send them to a place like that when they get 50 or so in a bunch. Let them know what car they are off-of and they will give you a price over the phone.
The aftermarket converters are worth much less.

what i learned is most companies do not really care for the domestic cats they seem to crave the rice cats and such..

i took dodge stealth R/T TT cats there some time ago and compaired to SHO cats they were about 50 dollar difference... this was some time ago now like 4 years ago but yet the price changes

I scraped two stock cats the other day and got $40 a piece. A year ago I got $125 a piece.
