Dude, that is totally normal. Nothing wrong with what you described bro. So its fine!

I thought the same thing when I just came onto the forums. If its in the normal ITS NORMAL!! trust me. My 95 used to get to the top of O before it would go down. Its fine, stop worrying and enjoy that beast.

But you should still come up and chill with us guys sometime.

Stock MAF (or at least another stock MAF) swapped in with no effect. (CEL light came in just after she warmed up). Ya know...I would just pull the bulb...but I want it to be right. Especially before I cut off the muffler and replace it with a turbo (and all of its supporting hardware / tubing).

I pulled codes again yesterday evening. Here's what I get.

In memory:
332
327

While running:
327
536 (my fault...didn't tap the brake)
521 (Again, my fault. I was under the hood, not near the steering wheel to turn it...)
632 (Car doesn't have an overdrive cancel switch...)

So that leaves the 327 and the 332. Both EGR codes. Just for ***** and giggles, I swapped the TPS, but, as I thought, it made no difference in the codes. Worth the extra 3 minutes, though.

How long ago did you replace the DPFE sensor? If it's still covered under warranty you might want to try exchanging it for another, as I have seen bad DPFE sensors right out of the box on a couple of occasions.

After that, my next suggestion would be to try a different PCM. As I mentioned earlier, I have seen persistent false EGR codes that ended up being the result of a bad PCM and not an actual problem with any of the EGR components.

Not to sound dumb, but by PCM, do you mean the engine computer above the glove compartment? If that is the case...anybody have a good used computer for a 3.2?

Shotime, you wouldn't have a part number by chance, would you? I would try that before swapping PCM's unless someone had one (PCM, that is) that was known to be good fairly cheap. Otherwise, it looks like Sho Source has them for $95.00.

BTW, I always called it an ECM...which is why I didn't know what PCM was. (Engine Control Module as opposed to Powertrain Control Module). A throwback to my Fiero days I suppose...

Brief update. The CEL light is off after cleaning the EPS tubes...again, but I could only put about 12 miles on it as the rack (or steering linkage) started binding. Checked the bushings (aluminum), and they are good, so it looks like a new rack. Then, I'll actually do a full warm up cycle.

New rack on, still no CEL. Its been 1 tank of gas. Keeping my fingers crossed...then I'll be looking for 42# injectors and the fuel rail that they fit. I have a T3/T4, .48 trim turbo that I am just dying to put in place of my muffler...with all the appropriate hardware, of course. We'll see what 7lb's of boost will do....
