Any performance differences from a gen1 to a gen2 exhaust?

Is there a performance difference between exhaust systems on a first and second gen? Im interested in only whats after the Y-pipe.

No performance difference at all. The 89-92 came stock with turn downs tips. Also If you plan on using a stock 89-91.5 gen 1 exhaust on your gen 2 it won't fit without fixing the resonator pipe so it will clear the rod shifter.
