Any experience with this cold air set up?

Hello again, I bought this car for 600.00 2 yrs ago with a reman motor 60.000 miles the former owner said 1994 MTX not sure what the specs are on the size of the maf and tubes, but it is larger than my 94 ATX My question is the car runs like a bat out of **** going through 1st 2nd 3rd but when I shift to 4th gear 6500 rpm it does not have the pull like my 94 ATX does ..By the way there is a HOLE cut out in the inner fender in front of the strut tower for more air

CAI setups are a matter of what your personal feelings are about them. Some like them and some dont. I personally feel the stock set up is sufficient.

You're not going to pull much more after 6500 rpm anyway.

Let's see what this set up looks like

Looks like a typical version of a CAI setup. If the hole you're talking about in the fender is where the can sits, that's stock. This is why many (including myself) believe the stock setup is sufficient for performance. It's already a CAI from the factory.

The aftermarket CAI's sure sound pretty though.

It does have a bit of a bark when wide open with the dynomax exhaust, real fun to drive. much better than the ATX out of the whole for the 1/4 mile drag. Thank you for your input Ken...

No problem. Again, it's just my opinion and there are others that feel differently. I guess it's about what you like.
