Dumb question perhaps, but I'm thinking about machining up some aluminum SFB's from the dimensions posted in this group.

Not having actually poked around under the car yet, I'm wondering why the bushings are two-piece? Why not just one piece 3" diameter X 2.1" high?

One piece is under the sub frame,and the other is above,inbetween the frame and subframe.

Here's the specs you published in February, Jeremy, which got me thinking about making the bushings.

<quote>
They come in 2 pieces.Part one if you look at it from the side,looks like a "T",because it has a "tower" cut on it.Part two has a "dish" cut into it that the "tower" fits into.That being said,here you go:
Part 1:
3" rod.Overall height is 1.400,machined on both sides.The tower is 2.06 dia,and is .400 tall.There is a 13/64th`s(.484)thru hole in the center.
Part 2:
3" rod.Overall height is 1.1,machined on both sides.The "dish" is 2.067 dia.,and is .400 deep.There is a 13/64th`s(.484)thru hole in the center of it also.

My only question is on the hole size, I assume that you meant to type 31/64th's not 13!
