I saw a special bit on fixing yellowiing/fogging in a tv program last fall and finally got a chance to try it. Take some wheel polish (I used Mothers Wheel Polish) and apply it to the headlight. After it's dry remove and the apply a polish to it. Remove that after it's dry. The results were great. I had tried plastic cleaner, rubbing compound and polish with little luck. Wet sanding gave me some pretty good results but this has by far been the best so far. I highly recommend it. thumb

Did you apply this on the outside lens or did you open up your headlamp assembly?

I did this last month and it worked pretty good.

I was going to replace them but now I don't have the need too.

I used the 3M Scratch Remover as the final step to polish the lenses.

You can pick it up at Pep Boys.

Curious..what about moisture on inside? My 95 Bird has a yellow lense and was going to replace at a cost of $250 so I will try that but our 99 Taurus has moisture on the inside..any ideas? Done the hair dryer trick before..not very effective.

First use "Mother's" wheel polish, then remove and apply another polish? What kind?
I used the Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish.
I just used the same thing yesterday and it worked nicely!

I think that unless you open the lense, you're SOL.

I'll try it. But I really need to get a new driver's side. Damn cheap ass insurance company of the Lady that backed into me replaced every lens on the front except for that one. rant
looks worse now IMHO than all of them being yellowed.-
