here is his story
but if not would anyone put a used one in for him at a good price
this car is in like new condition I will post pics when he sends them to me if anyone in ohio has a yamaha v8 or can look at his mabe its something simpleHi.I never heard anything about the cams before I placed the ad, now I keep hearing about them. Here is what happened. Maybe you can help me. I was driving home on the freeway at about 60 to 65 mph. The engine then lost power but did not turn off. As soon as this happened I turned it off and coasted to a stop. I then restarted it it but it still had no power. I turned it off again and had it towed to the Ford dealer. He called me the next day and said it was the connecting rod. They did not take the engine apart but just listened to it. They then said It would be 15,000 for a new engine or 7,500.00 for a used one, installed.I then had it towed home. Could they have told this without opening the engine up? Or could this be the cam? I took a 12,000 dollar beating on this car. It was leased and I had to finish paying the lease and then pay off the 9,000 remaining because I coulnt turn it back in ? Thanks. Jeff Williams
