Amp thump problem..

are you running the jbl factory amp with the pioneer if you are this is the problem you are putting to many volts trought the amp you will need to buy the bypass harness for the prem sound im mecp cert and have done this for 16 years and work for best buy know your pre volts are to much for the jbl amp and will pop and you problly max out the radio on volum 10 right let me know and i will help you out

Mines not the JBL system just premium sound, I do however have the voltage stepdown harness thing I got from Circuit City to lower the power going to the amp.

bypass the amp from the factory should fix the problem and the pioneer has more power the the factory amp anyway

Is there a simple way to bypass it or do i need to run all new wires?

go to best buy and buy an amp bypass harness they will know what you need we do it all the time

I see one from Circuit City but it doesn't show that it will work for our cars but it may. Metra Premium Sound Bypass harness

hay also some times there are plugs below the radio and you can bypass there with out buying anything if you can take some pics so i can see what you are dealing with email to me so its not all over the net for people to see your system
