Really simple, looked through here and couldn't find any answers, thought I'd ask. Is there a way to keep the ambient lighting on with the parking lights off?

the ambient lighting will be on when either of the following happen:
interior lights are on (door open, etc);
headlights / park lights are on.

If I recall correctly on my 2011, with the door open the ambient lighting came on with a whitish color, regardless of what color I had my ambient lights set to. Is that different in later models?

Based on my car (2014), I have to disagree. Courtesy light when entering is a pale blue. Once started, the selected ambient lighting will light, on mine. Although mine also seems to re-set itself to light blue if I remote start.

But mine is also odd for some reason, that there is no dome light or puddle light, ever. I can turn the dome light, or whatever the one called by the rear view mirror, on manually. I wondered if the 'dark mode' were activated on mine, but it doesn't seem to fully match those symptoms either, from what my research shows.

Regardless, to the original inquiry, I have not encountered one that will operate as desired.

well, when I would demo ambient lighting for a prospective client, I would select a color and open a door to show them that color, then select another and it would change, so that is how it worked on the Lincolns - I thought the SHO was the same, but maybe not...
