Is there any way to tell how old an altinator is? I took mine to get it tested today and they said it was fine. But it has a sticker on it with the ford logo and a bunch of numbers and in the corner of the sticker it has 24 89 the car is a 90 I was wondering if this could be the original? the housing is really bad looking like it's really old. stupid question but I don't want to put it back in if its that old.

Even if the case if old it could have been rebuilt. What # followed the "F" on the part #?
