Alright, my Altenator is probably about as old, if not, as old as the car. I have a 1993 MTX. And I just recently put in the system to die for (trust me, when I paid for it, I died) and I have a nearly brand new Optima Yellow Top battery. I have a P4004 Rockford Amp and I have 2 Subs running through, I also have my 6X9 Pioneer speakers in back and my 6.5 Infinity speakers up front w/ components.
I have a Rockford 1 Fared Cap. just not installed yet. One day I couldn't start my car at all, after I pulled the fuse to the amp, I haven't had problems. I don't think the Cap. is going to help, just because it's mainly for peak power. So I'm looking into a new altenator, just because I think mine may be getting weak.
So basically, whats the biggest bang for the buck. I want something good, I'm willing to pay for it... within reason. Any advice would be appreciated.
