Hi
I'm replacing the alternater belt and the tensioner is is loosened all the way and the belt is the correct belt and it WILL NOT fit. Any suggestion?

When the car going as long as I have my foot on gas when I put heater on it ok,
9 out of 10 times when I take my foot off gas, the car bogs down and if it doesn't stall it wants to. I'm guessing a short.

Those are my current problems any advice from you guys would me appreciated!

The belt # is 445k6

Thanks Mike
The belt barely gives you room to pry / push / force it on with a screw driver.

Everytime I replace my belt, I tell them to get the recommended belt (445k6) , and then to find me one 1 inch longer (455k6). Fits perfect with no problems. The tensioner then sits about 2-3 inches below the battery.

Its the 455k6 (45.5 inches long and 6 ribs.) as opposed to the 445k6 (44.5 inches long and 6 ribs.) The 445k6 wouldnt find on my car unless I took the idler pulley completely off.

They always look at me funny when I say, ok now get one thats 1 inch longer. Then I have to explain to them that the 445k6 isnt long enough...blah blah blah.
