ok you know when the battery light come on at high rpm's. Well mine does not come on. My imrc was broke then i fixed and it still did not work let me know what you think... Thanks Chris

The battery light comes on when the alternator is nearly dead. If it's doing it while your accelerating, or even ideling i would bet it's about ready to fry itself.

If it goes, your battery has a good chance of being destroyed as well. Just my .02

i had a similar problem with my 96 the battery light would come on when accelerating. took it to ford specialist they found out that i had some partially burnt up wires running up above the transmision. seems to be a common problem. also found a site somewhere that stated ford had issuses with the wiring harness on the v8 sho in that same area. so that may aslo be the problem.
