Anyone ever hear or have experience with these water pumps. I need a 3.0L Pump but they are getting harder and harder to come by these days. I found this on e-bay but wondering if they are any good.

Thanks

Ray -
Rockauto.com

A1 Cardone, #57-1373. $62 + shipping.

FYI the picture of the one you show is NOT a SHO pump, and the "93-95" is likely an error and it's for a 3.2L, otherwise it'd cross from 89-95 for the 3.0L SHO.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hey Fred, This is Ray from RI. Blue Beast is running like a champ, other than the minor AF leak. :( Thanks for the response.

Never heard of Aisin, cardone's have always been great, no problems.

ASC makes new pumps with lifetime warranty on them, but I'm not sure if they are making the SHO pumps yet...

Any chance that these water pumps leaking are just the gaskets? What about the water pump fails to make it leak?

The picture is wrong in the ad, but Aisin is the OEM water and oil pump supplier for the SHO. In fact you see their WP's and Oil pumps on a lot of japanese engines (toyota, mistu, etc)

It is usually the seals at the shaft that leak. They are the only seal with a moving surface that will wear over time. The O-rings at the tube and block rarely leak if installed properly. The remanufactured units replace the seals and bearings and provide a new case gasket. Since the casing, impeller and shaft are usually the OEM pieces, they tend to work just fine.
