I'm undecided and need some help. I was thinking of going with the Tockio-Intrax setup up but if I'm going to spend that much, why not spend a little more and have a fully adjustable suspension so I can make it sit anyway I want. For about 1600 I can have an air ride system that would go front-back and side to side. Has anyone done this before, if so where could I get some pictures. I'd be doing this on a 95. I think it would be pretty cool and I was just looking for some feedback on this. Thanks

It has been done, air struts were made to fit in the taurus. If you want it for looks go ahead with the air bags, it would be kinda cool. However, if performance is your goal then the spring/strut combo would suit you better.

there was a guy around me who did this. the only thing i had against it was all the added wait, compressors, tanks, solenoids....etc. the guy around me brought it to a local custom shop and paid around 3000 $ but he supposively had all ball joints done too.

I'm contimplating air ride because it's adjustable at the flip of a button. It is extra weight, you're right there. I figured 1600 with compressor and everything from ebay and installed myself. Doesn't the SHO have some kind of CV joint problem if it goes too low?

Any front wheel drive car will have a certain limit at which the CV joints can drive, too extreme of a driving angle is bad.

But slamming it for a car show or when parked, where the car isnt moving is ok as long as when you go to drive it you raise back to where the axles are as staright as you can get them.

when you had the SS spings, did you have cv issues? Just wondering before I drop mine. Parts are in the living room waiting. Thanx.

Personally, I would not go air, you will never corner like a SHO again. But it would look nice when parked. Good Luck, oh, if you estimated it at $1600, plan an extra $500-700 just in case.

Hi, check out www.ridetech.com they have some neat stuff. Only have it slammed when you are parked and you'll be ok, raise it up to ride hight and off you go no problems. I will be using their system on my '76 Buick Riviera soon I hope.
