Aftermarket cd player

Can I use the factory amp with an aftermarket cd player? I recently bought a 92 SHO and it has an cd player, it looks like they bypassed the amps. What can I do so I can use the factory amps?

I forget if you can do that. I'll have to check and see if they can handle a signal that is already amplified. They are really old. If it was my car I'd get a small amp. Do you know what speakers are installed? factory/aftermarket? You don't want to drive too much power through them.
